K’Shana is originally from the south side of Chicago, but raised in Northeast Louisiana. Her work displays the beautiful collision of both regions. Her method of expression is predominately abstract and is heavily influenced by her culture and life experiences. Her work has been featured on fashion runways, JP Morgan Chase’s African American history exhibit, the Schepis Museum of art, the “Walk of Art” sponsored by Origin bank and local art crawls. K’Shana is also a frequent contributor to local charities and has worked with the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council to help educate local youth about art. She currently serves as the vice president of the Black Creative Circle of Northeast Louisiana, an organization that supports and encourages the visibility and success of black creatives in their respective fields.
