Call for Photographers
Through the Lens: Stories of Place, People, and Perspective in Northeast Louisiana

Presented by the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council and Louisiana Delta Community College
The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council and Louisiana Delta Community College invite photographers to submit work for Through the Lens: Northeast Louisiana, a juried photography exhibition to be displayed across both the Monroe and West Monroe campuses of Louisiana Delta Community College.
This exhibition celebrates the landscapes, people, culture, traditions, and everyday moments that define life in Northeast Louisiana.
Exhibition Theme
All submitted photographs must feature Northeast Louisiana.
Images may include, but are not limited to:
Natural landscapes, wildlife, agriculture, architecture, historic places, downtown scenes, community events, cultural traditions, portraits, small-town life, and everyday moments unique to the region.
Eligibility
This call is open to photographers age 18 and older who live, work, study, or maintain a creative practice in Northeast Louisiana.
Professional and amateur photographers are welcome.
Photography only.
Artwork Requirements
Selected works must be:
- Framed
- Professionally presented
- Ready to hang
- Equipped with wire hanging hardware
- Suitable for display in a public educational space
The following will not be accepted:
- Unframed prints
- Canvas wraps
- Clip frames
- Sawtooth hangers
- Damaged or unstable frames
- AI-generated images
Composite or heavily manipulated images must be disclosed at the time of submission.
Submission Guidelines
Artists may submit up to five photographs for consideration.
For each submitted work, please provide:
- Artist name
- Artwork title
- Location or parish where the image was taken
- Medium/process
- Dimensions
- Year created
- Sale price, if applicable
- Insurance value
- High-resolution image file
Important Dates
Call Opens: June 23, 2026
Submission Deadline: July 25, 2026
Artist Notification: August 4, 2026
Artist Information Due: August 11, 2026
Signed Agreements Due: August 15, 2026
Artwork Drop-Off: August 18–22, 2026
Installation: August 25–29, 2026
Opening Reception: September 1, 2026 at Noon
Reception Location: LDCC West Monroe Campus
Selection Process
Artwork will be reviewed by a committee of representatives from Louisiana Delta Community College and the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council.
Selections will be based on:
- Artistic quality
- Technical execution
- Connection to Northeast Louisiana
- Variety of subject matter
- Overall exhibition balance across both campuses
Exhibition Terms
Selected works will be loaned for the duration of the exhibition.
Artists retain ownership of their work. Works may be listed for sale at the artist’s discretion. If a work is not for sale, the artist must still provide an insurance value.
Selected artists will be required to sign an artist loan agreement prior to drop-off.
Selected artwork must be delivered during the designated drop-off window. Failure to meet drop-off deadlines without prior communication may result in forfeiture of exhibition placement.
