FY27 Louisiana Project Grant Applications Are Now Open
The Louisiana Project Grant (LPG) program supports community-driven arts projects that increase access to the arts, address local needs through creative programming, and showcase the unique artistry and cultural identity of Louisiana communities.
Louisiana Project Grants are administered jointly by the Louisiana Division of the Arts and the state’s nine Regional Arts Councils. In Region 8, the program is administered by the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council.
Organizations and entities located within Region 8 may apply for up to $5,000 in funding for eligible arts access projects.
Important Dates
Application Opens: May 4, 2026
Application Deadline: June 12, 2026 at 4:00 PM
Applications submitted after the deadline cannot be accepted.
Eligible Applicants
Eligible applicants may include:
• Nonprofit arts organizations
• Nonprofit community organizations
• Libraries
• Public and private schools
• School boards
• Colleges and universities
• Municipalities and local government agencies
• Individual artists (where applicable under current guidelines)
Projects should demonstrate meaningful community impact through the arts and align with the goals of arts access, public engagement, creativity, and cultural enrichment.
Organizations with existing programming may already have projects that qualify. You do not necessarily need to create an entirely new initiative to apply.
2025 was the Year of Food for the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism. In Louisiana, you taste culture in every bite. Equal parts comfort and sophistication, seasonal ingredients and recipes handed down for generations, it’s a landscape with a whole culinary language…and every region has a different dialect, a secret recipe worth tasting. This year we are excited to continue the inclusion of the Culinary Arts as a recognized discipline within our Louisiana Project Grants. Please reference the complete grant guidelines for a definition of Culinary Arts as it relates to this program.
