Support

Our mission at the Arts Council is really made up of three big things that encompass all we do: SUPPORT, Promote & Educate! We are excited to be able to support our local artists, arts organizations and regional arts community in a variety of ways.

Supporting Artists

  • We believe that a big part of artist support is finding ways that we can amplify our artists and their work. Our arts and culture directory, Culturalyst, allows us to do this in a way that makes you and your work more accessible to potential clients, collectors, collaborators and more! And the best part? It's FREE!

  • Using the Culturalyst platform, we are able to get opportunities in front of you conveniently and efficiently. Opportunities like grants, calls, workshops, residencies and more!

Supporting Arts Educators

  • Program Wishlists

The Arts Council realizes that oftentimes our educators are reaching into their own pockets to fund things for their classrooms... and even more so perhaps our arts educators are reaching into their own pockets to fund their own arts education programming. We want to help by getting your program "wishlists" in front of individuals who would love to help. Please send your wishlist link to abigail@nelaarts.org.

  • Primary Academic Creative Experiences (PACE) is a program of the Acadiana Center for the Arts. PACE teaching artists develop lessons that integrate the visual and performing arts with academic curriculum for Kindergarten through 2nd grade students, featuring 287 different lessons.

  • The Art Story is an art website that helps you develop a better understanding (and eventually appreciation) of art through detailed guides and explanations of masterpieces and artwork. More specifically, you will be able to access information about artists, learn about the different art movements (e.g., impressionism, performance, The Baroque, etc), and explore art concepts (e.g., The Readymade, Renaissance, Humanism, Collage, etc). You can also use the site's timeline feature to track the chronological developments of different art movements and concepts.

Supporting Arts Organizations

  • We believe that a big part of arts organization support is finding ways that we can amplify our organizations and their programming within the reginal community. Our arts and culture directory, Culturalyst, allows us to do this in a way that makes your organization even more accessible to visitors, collaborators, artists and more! And the best part? It's FREE!

  • Arts Community Calendar

The Culturalyst platform also allows you to post your arts events directly to our regional community calendar and promote your event statewide and BEYOND!
