Arts in Partnership: Louisiana Delta Community College Call For Art

The Louisiana Delta Community College Library is in a season of transformation. Its spaces are changing, collections are growing, and its purpose on campus continues to evolve.

The word Delta means change - both in name and in symbol - and this exhibition explores that idea through visual art created by artists across Northeast Louisiana.

We’re seeking work that reflects transformation, growth, becoming, or change in any form. Artists may interpret this theme in personal, cultural, educational, environmental, emotional, or abstract ways. Show us what it looks like to shift, to move forward, or to evolve into something new.

All wall-hanging mediums suitable for a public educational space will be considered, including painting, mixed media, photography, digital art, fiber works, and other installation-ready pieces.

  • Exact installation and deinstallation dates will be coordinated with LDCC and confirmed with selected artists.

Artwork Loan

  • All selected works are loaned for the duration of the exhibition.
  • No sales are required or guaranteed; however, works may be listed as for sale at the artist’s discretion.
  • Any sales inquiries will be directed to the artist unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Eligibility & Presentation

  • All works must be original, wall-hung pieces suitable for display in a public, educational setting.
  • Works must arrive ready to hang, with professional-grade hardware (wired or D-ring mounted).
  • No freestanding or floor-based works will be accepted for this exhibition.

Installation & Care

  • Installation and deinstallation will be coordinated by the Arts Council in partnership with LDCC staff.
  • LDCC will provide wall space, hanging systems, and on-site supervision during the exhibition.
  • Reasonable care will be taken to ensure artwork safety while on display.

Insurance & Liability

  • LDCC will provide insurance coverage for artworks while on site.
  • The Arts Council will be responsible for artwork during transit and for securing signed loan agreements from participating artists.

Artist Responsibilities

  • Artists are responsible for delivering artwork to the agreed-upon location by the specified deadline.
  • Artists must retrieve their work promptly at the end of the exhibition period or arrange for return shipping at their own expense unless otherwise noted. Failure to do so by the deadline results in ownership of the work transferring to LDCC.

Right of Refusal

  • The Arts Council and LDCC reserve the right to decline or remove work that does not meet installation requirements or is deemed unsuitable for a public educational environment.
