Business Art Award Form

The BART Award was established to recognize the importance of corporate participation in stabilizing and expanding the arts.  Nominees should be businesses or corporations that have made philanthropic contributions that have significantly impacted the success of the cultural programs of Region 8 Arts organizations during the past year.

*Past winners are not eligible for nomination if they have won the award within the last two years.

In narrative form, not to exceed 750 words, provide a concise description of the contributions for which the business being nominated.  The narrative should address and include, at a minimum, the following:

1)         the scope of the nominee’s contributions to the success of the organization’s programming.
2)         any long-term impact resulting from the nominee’s contributions on the future of the nominating organization or the general quality of life of the parish/region. 
3)         other affiliations, both current and past, which demonstrate consistent involvement with and support of the arts.
4)         a summary statement by a representative of the nominee describing the nominee’s policy, either articulated or tacit, regarding corporate support of the arts: (this should be in the form of a 1-sentence quote from the representative as to the role of corporate support in the growth of the arts in northeast Louisiana).

Supplemental materials are not required for the BART Award however, they can strengthen your nomination. If you choose to include supplemental materials (press clippings, programs, samples of work i.e., slides, videos, photographs, etc.) they must be uploaded at the time of submission of nomination form.  NO supplemental materials will be accepted after nomination submission.  Any external video links should be copied and pasted to the text box below the click and drag box for Panel Review. ***If you have any issue adding multiples items to the click and drag box, try highlighting them at all at once and dragging them at the same time to the box.
